Movement
The basic controls for movement are |W, A, S, D|, or the arrow keys. Holding down |shift| while moving will allow you to run, as long as you aren't too tired. You can also move diagonally by holding down two different buttons (for example, up (W) and right (D). If you get too tired from running, wait a little while before trying again. To pick up an item, stand over it and press |G| for |get|. |Left clicking| a character will select them as your target, and |Right Clicking| will look at them (providing a description or initiating a conversation). Right Clicking will also give you the description of items you see lying around. You can also check your mail by right clicking on a bright blue |Mailbox|.
